Eligibility Criteria
To ensure your application is not disqualified, you must meet the following requirements:
- Nationality: Resident/Non-Resident Indian (NRI), PIO, and OCI holders are eligible. (Foreign nationals must apply via the “International” category).
- Age Limit: Candidates must be born on or after July 1, 2004.
- Educational Qualification:
- Must have completed or be appearing in Class 12 (10+2) in 2026.
- Mandatory Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.
- Minimum Marks: * General Category: 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.
- SC/ST & North-Eastern States/J&K/Ladakh: 50% aggregate in the same subjects.

A major update for 2026 is the introduction of negative marking in some reporting, though the official site confirms a 500-mark total structure with specific weightage.

Important Note: For 2026, 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.20 Previously, VITEEE did not have negative marking, so candidates must now be more cautious with their guesses.
Syllabus Highlights
The syllabus is largely based on the Class 11 and 12 NCERT curriculum.
- Physics: Laws of Motion, Electrostatics, Magnetic Effects of Electric Current, Optics, and Nuclear Physics.
